The Time is Right to Reflect and Review Quality Assurance Solutions - Lifting of Lockdown

We all know that the impact of the pandemic crisis is far from over and how much of an exhausting time it has been, and continues to be, for everyone across the care and support sector. It is now a good time to start to reflect and review and to plan ahead for the future provision of care and support in the ever-changing world that we currently live in.

CQC are currently continuing to implement the Emergency Support Framework with Regulated Providers and will be resuming an inspection regime as soon as it is safe to do so. As I always say to my clients, it is not just about the regulatory inspection process and any preparation for this; it is about the highest quality of care and support being offered, delivered and evidenced day in and day out. No respite. No excuses.

Having effective and robust compliance and quality assurance systems and processes in place is the solution, so you can address and resolve any actions identified in a planned way, and is an essential part of evidencing a ‘Well-Led’ service across all operational areas.

It is therefore recommended that you consult and engage with your Customers, Care and Support Teams, Stakeholders and wider networks to use the R’s to pulse check the quality compliance and business assurance systems and processes across your services. Bite size chunk everything. Don’t attempt to complete the whole compliance jigsaw all at once, prioritise and take the time to reflect and review!

Can you evidence a consistent approach to good and outstanding levels of quality compliance and business assurance?
